Hello Parents/Guardians, My name is Hope Lyons, and I am excited for my new role as a Parent Ambassador. I enjoy planning events, baking, and road trips with my family. I am currently working for Modesto City Schools as a paraprofessional in Special Education with the Resource department. I have worked for MCS for over twelve years. I was also a PHAST (Protecting Health and Slamming Tobacco) club mentor for ten years. It is important for our young scholars to have mentors in their lives that they can look up to. I am very passionate about helping others, and excited to share that I will be growing with Modesto City Schools as a new Parent Ambassador. I am ready to help parents/guardians in providing information, guidance and resources related to your child’s education and well-being. Weightlifting We are excited to add an 8th period weightlifting class starting 9/11. Please see your counselor if you are interested in signing up. We have busses after 8th period that will go to Modesto High and Hanshaw. This is a great way to get some exercise and earn some additional credits. -Picture day is coming up. We will take school pictures on 9/5! -The E Sports lab is open every morning. Stop by room 26 to check out all of the fun games you can play.

Back to School Night will be held August 17th from 5:30pm-7:30pm. BBQ will be served to all attending families. Come take a tour of the campus and meet your admin and staff. Students will receive a backpack full of Elliott swag. A pair of airpods will be raffled off too! Don't miss out!

Modesto Subaru is now accepting students who are interested in job shadowing in their auto mechanics department. This is a great opportunity to see if auto mechanics would be a job field you would like to pursue. LCFF Household Income Form $87.7M 2022/23FUNDING Schools receive Supplemental and Concentration Grant funding based on the percentage of students identified as English learners, low-income, homeless or foster children. Please help ensure your student's school receives the maximum funding available by completing the LCFF Household Income Form.

The Modesto City Schools IETS Help Desk will be open during summer Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, effective from June 5th through July 14th. Offices will be closed on June 19th and July 4th due to holidays. We will be back to our normal scheduled hours of 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM starting Monday July 17th.
