Mercedes Venegas, Clinician (Th-F)

Edith and Mercedes are part of the Integrated Mental Health Program (IMHP). They will be providing behavioral and clinical mental health services specific to the needs of Elliott. Services primarily include student de-escalation, and crisis intervention, parent trainings, staff collaboration, teacher consultation, student observations, needs assessments, and direct counseling services to students. There are no restrictions on which students can be seen by the IMHP clinician.

Jessi Hegwood, Substance Abuse Counselor (M-F)

The Substance Abuse Counselor offers school-based substance abuse counseling for youth struggling with drugs and/or alcohol.

Misty Van Vliet, ERMHS Clinician (T & F)

The Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) clinician provides services to students with special needs. They assess and provide direct mental health services to students whose behaviors interfere with their ability to access their Individualized Education Program (IEP).

The Student Assistance Specialists work with students either individually or in small groups to assist them in developing coping skills on any life issue they may be facing such as anger, bullying, grief or academic problems. These sessions are designed to be short-term (6-8 weeks) and are intended to promote emotional and social learning.
